Your Treatment Journey at İnci Diş — Step by Step, Planned Before You Fly

In short

From your first photo to your final smile: a doctor-planned journey in Istanbul. Written plan in 48 hours. No flight before you're sure.

Key takeaways

  • You should not book a flight to Istanbul before you have a written, doctor-reviewed treatment plan in your hands.
  • Your journey at İnci Diş has six steps.
  • You send your X-ray and photos from home — a doctor reviews them before anything is booked.

The journey, end to end

You should not book a flight to Istanbul before you have a written, doctor-reviewed treatment plan in your hands. That is the entire point of our process.

Your journey at İnci Diş has six steps. Each one has a specific deliverable. None of them ask for a deposit until step 4.

The six steps

Step 1 — Photos and X-ray (you send, we review)

You send the following from home:

WhatHow
3 intra-oral photosFront (lips retracted, teeth together), left side, right side
1 smile photoNatural smile, face visible
Panoramic X-rayAny panoramic from the last 12 months works
CBCT (if available)Preferred for implant cases; not required for first review
Brief medical historyMedications, conditions, allergies, smoking

If you do not have an X-ray, your local dentist or imaging centre can provide a panoramic for €20–€50 in most countries. We will tell you whether a panoramic is enough or whether we need a CBCT before quoting.

We do not start with a price. We start with imaging.

Step 2 — Doctor review and written plan (within 48 hours)

A clinician — not a salesperson — reviews your case. You receive:

  • A written treatment plan in EUR.
  • The implant brand and prosthetic material proposed, by name.
  • The two-trip (or three-trip) timeline.
  • Add-ons that may apply (extractions, graft, sinus lift, sedation).
  • What is included and what is not.
  • A note of anything that needs to be confirmed by CBCT on arrival.

If your case is straightforward, you will likely have a final number within this step. If it is more complex, you will have a clear plan and a defined range, with the variables stated.

Step 3 — Video consultation

We schedule a video call with the reviewing clinician (and a coordinator in your language, if needed). The call covers:

  • Why we chose the implant brand and material we chose.
  • The healing protocol and how it affects your work / travel.
  • The two-trip schedule and how to plan around it.
  • The deposit terms and the refund policy.
  • What you should and should not do in the weeks before surgery (e.g., stop smoking if you can, manage any infections, ask your physician about specific medications).

You can join the call with a partner or family member. We expect questions.

Step 4 — Dates and deposit

You and our coordinator pick treatment dates. A deposit secures those dates. The deposit, the amount, and the refund window are listed in your written plan before you commit.

We do not ask for full payment in advance. We do not require deposits before the doctor review.

Step 5 — Travel and Visit 1

We send you a pre-arrival pack:

  • Hotel recommendations in our Zeytinburnu cluster (we do not take commission).
  • Airport transfer instructions (included).
  • A day-by-day itinerary of your treatment week.
  • What to bring (medications list, comfortable clothes, soft snacks).
  • What to expect physiologically (swelling, soft diet, rest days).

On arrival: airport pickup, hotel check-in, then a planning visit at the clinic the following day. CBCT, intraoral scan, and treatment confirmation happen before any irreversible step. If the CBCT shows something different from the panoramic, we tell you before treatment proceeds.

A typical Visit 1 week (full-arch case):

DayWhat
Day 1Airport pickup, hotel, optional clinic visit for orientation
Day 2CBCT, intraoral scan, examination, confirm plan, photos
Day 3Surgery (implant placement, immediate temporary if indicated)
Day 4Rest day, soft diet, check-in
Day 5First post-op review, hygiene instructions
Day 6Free / Istanbul rest day
Day 7Suture review, fly home or extra day if recovery is slower

Single-implant cases are shorter; mixed restorative plans may add a day.

Step 6 — Healing, return, and aftercare

When you fly home you carry:

  • Your implant passport (brand, model, diameter, length, lot numbers).
  • Your CBCT and STL files on USB and cloud.
  • A written treatment summary.
  • A bridge letter to your home dentist.
  • A scheduled remote check-in calendar: week 1, week 4, month 3, month 6, year 1.
  • Warranty terms in writing.

Visit 2, for the final prosthesis, happens 3–6 months later, on dates you choose. See What Happens After I Return Home.

How long the journey takes, end to end

PhaseTime
Step 1: Photos and X-rayA few minutes
Step 2: Doctor review and written planWithin 48 hours
Step 3: Video consultation30–60 minutes, within 1 week
Step 4: Deposit and date bookingWhen you are ready
Step 5: Visit 15–8 days in Istanbul
Healing3–6 months at home
Visit 25–7 days in Istanbul

Most patients are in active conversation with us for 1–2 weeks before they decide to travel. We do not push that timeline.

Photos checklist — exact format

Take in good daylight, phone camera is fine:

  1. Front view, teeth together. Pull lips back gently with index fingers.
  2. Left side, teeth together. Same retraction, camera at 90° to the left side of your mouth.
  3. Right side, teeth together. Mirror of the above.
  4. Upper arch, mouth wide open. Tilt head back; phone above the mouth pointing down.
  5. Lower arch, mouth wide open. Tilt head down; phone below pointing up.
  6. Natural smile, face visible. For the prosthetic and aesthetic discussion.

If any are blurry, send them anyway. Our review is for clinical decisions; we will request retakes only if essential.

Deposit, refund, and date changes

Your written plan states:

  • The deposit amount (typically a fraction of the total).
  • The refund window: what is refundable up to how many days before treatment.
  • The date-change policy: moving dates within X days at no charge.
  • The cancellation policy: including for medical reasons documented by your physician.

We tell you these before you commit. We do not change them after you commit.

Our aftercare protocol, in writing

Most clinics in this category do not publish a structured aftercare schedule, which is why patients are often unsure what is normal three weeks after surgery. Here is ours, the same one we hand you on paper. Week 1: a coordinator checks in over WhatsApp, photos of the surgical site, and any concerns triaged the same day. Week 4: a soft-diet review and a hygiene-routine refresh. Month 3: a status check ahead of the prosthetic phase if you are mid-treatment. Month 6 and 12: longer remote reviews, scheduled in advance. Year 2 and beyond: an annual photo and bite check, plus your home hygienist visits every 6 months. If anything is off, we want to hear about it early.
